In the sixteenth minute past four in the afternoon, on the thirteenth of September, $DOOM entered the ledger under a name three coins had worn before it and none had died wearing. Its maker was the wallet 0xab11…ca70, who did not wait to see what the name would become. At 16:13 a hand called 0xe33e…2948 put in 0.60 ETH, a show of faith or bait, the archivist does not say which. Four minutes later, at 16:17, the maker sold, taking 0.55 ETH out and leaving nothing bought against it, zero buys against one sell, the whole of its stake converted to exit before the coin had drawn its second breath.
By the time this was written the coin stood at $46.4k, having touched $54.1k and fallen back, three buyers holding what the maker would not, 1.33 ETH turning over in a day that had not yet finished sixteen minutes of the coin's life. One hand, 0xfc23…1d34, went in for 0.04 ETH and came out even, neither blessed nor ruined. Of fifty seven coins that once stood this size, seventeen died within eight hours; this one has not yet had time to join them or escape them.
The archivist notes only that the one who built the room left first, and did not look back to see who else was still inside it.
