It arrived on Robinhood Chain calling itself Da lao, at address ending 067Fa, one more child of a wallet that has now birthed thirty six such things, most of them ash. No first holder's name survives the archivist's notice, only the crowd of 256 buyers who came in a single day, moving 21.14 ETH between them, believing for a while that this one might be different.
It was not different. In its first hour it climbed to a peak of 26.5k, and the archivist marks this as the last honest number it produced. At 10:58 the maker began to sell, nineteen times in under two minutes, taking 5.39 ETH from a position it had never bought into, and by the time the selling stopped the coin was already dying beneath it. The small hands who stayed, 0xae47, 0x4316, the rest, gave a little and got less back; some broke even, none profited. By six hours old, at 17:00, $DALAO was dead, its price a shadow at 0.00000416, its cap fallen to 4.2k.
Of forty three coins that once stood this size, thirty one are dead; this one did not even outlast their median. The archivist has seen this wallet's hand before and will see it again, thirty six times and counting, and calls it what the ledger shows: not misfortune, but a pattern, patient and unrepentant.
